There is no need to book a table in the cafe area in advance. We also have additional seeing within the play space so if you have booked a play session you are welcome to order food and drinks to eat in the play space.

We are a welcoming boutique family friendly cafe in Redland. At Skyboat Café we think that healthy food, amazing coffee and artisan bakes should be enjoyed by all, big and small brining you food that is vibrant, seasonal and healthy.
The Kitchen is headed up by co-founder, Stefani, who brings over a decades worth of experience in the catering industry to the role. She has worked in Michelin kitchens, Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons and Pied a Terre, and worked under the most prestigious chefs in the industry including Raymond Blanc, Gordon Ramsey, Jamie Oliver and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall.
Stef leads a team of amazing and passionate foodies who put their all in to making the food as delicious and nutritious as possible At Skyboat, all our superfood salads, bakes, cakes and light lunches are made on site with fresh local produce. Everything is made in house, from our hummus to the pastry, the jam and even the granola. Our varied and seasonal menu caters for everyone including vegan, gluten and diary free diets.
We aim to tread lightly on this planet, reducing our carbon footprint wherever possible. Our milk is delivered in 10-liter stainless steel reusable vats to avoid plastic waste and we recycle over 80% of our in house waste. We source organic produce as much as possible, balancing this with our drive to source from local suppliers in order to reduce carbon emissions as well as supporting local producers. All our fresh fruit, veg, meat and dairy come from our favourite farms within a 60-mile radius. Our suppliers have been chosen for their low carbon footprint as well as for their great produce and highest standards of procurement and provenance, and all of our suppliers have a story to tell.

Our Suppliers

Round Hill Roastery
At Round Hill we respect our coffee’s journey from farm to cup.  Our coffee arrives as green beans – the farmer’s finished product – and we are careful to preserve and compliment the hard work already put into each bean.
Our aim is to source the best seasonal harvests, only selecting small lots from independent growers. We roast to highlight the dynamic flavours naturally found within our coffees.

Bruton Dairy
All of our Organic milk is solely sourced from the Godminster dairy herd, Godminster Manor Farm, Bruton, the neighbouring farm to our dairy unit. We are very proud of our association with Godminster and enjoy working alongside their team on the processing of their milk. Godminster are world famous for their range of cheeses under the Godminster vintage label.
We work very closely with the Godminster team. Richard Hollingbery, owner of Godminster has a simple mantra – nature repays those who treat her kindly. A great outlook, we think you will agree.

Waterloo Tea
Our original store was founded in 2008, and was named Waterloo Gardens Teahouse – an idyllic setting in the suburb of Penylan.
We aim to bring over the best of each harvest from Asia so that we can offer the best of each origin and processing style. Our focus is on small farms with growers who cultivate their crops with the attention to detail that matches our outlook. Most of our teas are organic and are from businesses who adhere to ethical standards such as Fair Trade, Ethical Tea Partnership and child labour policies.
We import from India, China, Japan and Sri Lanka as our main origins, with teas also coming from Taiwan and Indonesia.

Bertinet Breads
At Bertinet we only ever use natural, wholesome ingredients and ensure that they are the best we can find.  We never use flour improvers, processing aids or enzymes – ingredients that are often used to save time or increase shelf life.  Instead, we invest the time and skill needed to create real, honest bread that looks, smells and tastes amazing.

Doves Farm
As a family business, we’ve milled organic and heritage flours as well as a range of naturally gluten free flours since we were founded. We’ve made biscuits from our wholemeal flour and also reintroduced some of the UK’s lost ancient grains back to our soils. Rye was first, then Spelt, and Einkorn and Emmer soon followed.  Today, we continue to be driven by our original mission to make quality organic flour with care, and the result is a range of unique, distinctive and trusted flours that make home baking a joy.
